Fruit Cocktail Cake

Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 16-ounce can fruit cocktail
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1¾ cups flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350° and grease an 8" x 8" pan
- Cream butter and sugar
- Mix in egg and undrained can of fruit cocktail
- Combine baking soda, salt, and flour
- Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and pour into the pan
- Combine brown sugar and chopped pecans
- Sprinkle the topping evenly on the batter
- Bake until cooked through, about 25 minutes
