Fruit Cocktail Cake

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 16-ounce can fruit cocktail
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1¾ cups flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° and grease an 8" x 8" pan
  2. Cream butter and sugar
  3. Mix in egg and undrained can of fruit cocktail
  4. Combine baking soda, salt, and flour
  5. Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and pour into the pan
  6. Combine brown sugar and chopped pecans
  7. Sprinkle the topping evenly on the batter
  8. Bake until cooked through, about 25 minutes
