Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2½ cups flour
  • 1½ teaspoons cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Cinnamon-Sugar

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1½ tablespoons cinnamon

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Add in eggs and vanilla and cream mixture until combined
  3. Mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt until just combined
  4. Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes
  5. Preheat the oven to 350° and line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper
  6. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
  7. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 heaping tablespoon each
  8. Coat the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place on the baking sheets, lightly pressing down in the middle of each
  9. Bake for 10 minutes
